NEUROMUSCULAR trigger point

A massage technique that focuses on the deeper layers of muscle tissue. It aims to release the chronic patterns of tension in the body through slow strokes, and deep pressure on the contracted areas by either following or going across the fibers of the muscles, tendons and fascia. Neuromuscular is a massage modality that focuses on the easement of trigger points. They are called trigger points because they refer pain to other parts of the body.

myofascial release

A very effective hands-on technique that provides sustained pressure into fascial restrictions to eliminate pain and restore motion. Fascia is very densely woven, covering and interpenetrating every muscle, bone, nerve, artery, vein, and all of our internal organs. We incorporate this technique into most of our massages. Little to no oil is used during the session.

Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD)

A technique which manages fluid in a natural and healthy manner. Light pressure and slow and rhythmical stretching of the skin help to pump the lymphatic vessels and move fluids through the lymphatic and circulatory systems. Increased activity in the initial lymph vessels drains the skin and connective tissues, decreases pressure within the tissues and can therefore relieve pain. MLD positively affects the Autonomic Nervous System and encourages relaxation. It also can help boost the immune system and detoxify the body. MLD is beneficial for headaches, migraines, stress, sleep disorders, sinus congestion, prevention of cold/sore throat, and following dental work and surgeries. It should be avoided in the event of acute infections and with fever, congestive heart failure, untreated cancer, thrombosis/blood clot/deep vein thrombosis.

Pre & Postnatal Massage

This service is designed for pregnant and nursing mothers, to aid in reducing pregnancy and post-pregnancy discomforts. The technique enhances the physiological and emotional well-being of both mother and baby, using multiple cushions and bolsters to ensure comfort throughout the entire session.
